What a miracle
Locals are celebrating as two young brothers who were missing for six days have been found safe and well.
David Woodforde 9, and his brother Peter, 12, were last seen riding their dark coloured bikes from their Christies Beach home in Adelaide, Australia around 5.15pm last Tuesday.
South Australia Police were notified of the boys’ disappearance on the night but did not launch a public appeal until Sunday, five days later.
Police were concerned for the boys’ welfare due to their young ages but had no reason to suspect foul play.
A statement read: “Police have been searching for the children for five days, following numerous lines of enquiry and have put their photo out as a last resort.”
Authorities confirmed on Monday morning the two boys had been located with a family member and were safe and well and Department for Child Protection has been working closely with SA Police.

A spokesperson said: “Whenever a child or young person is at risk, the Department for Child Protection works closely with families and government and non-government partners, including SA Police, to attend to their safety.”
The police appeal to find the boys has been shared more 6,200 times before they were found.
A family member related to the boys had earlier urged the public to pray for their safety and questioned why it took police five days to issue an alert.
“To go missing for that period of time and not hear anything, is not good,” a concerned local told Seven News.
Another added: “I’ve got little boys myself, so the fact that they just went riding and disappeared isn’t the best thing to be hearing.”
