Matt Hancock’s alleged affair has been splashed across just about every news outlet this morning. After the images were shown on the front page of The Sun, Hancock has remained eerily silent on the issue, no doubt scrambling to regain some form of control over his life. Rachael Venable, a correspondent for LBC, shared an interesting story from the Health secretary’s Instagram.

“I work alongside some brilliant women,” says Hancock, which may be the understatement of the century. He has been married to Martha Hancock, an Osteopath, since 2006.
” Hashtag Awkward,” writes one Twitter user beneath the image of Hancock’s tweet. Another follower of Venables altered the picture to say “swipe right” instead, which is an obvious allusion to Tindr.
The health secretary’s post has now been removed. It is doubtful that many women will be jumping to enter the same circles as Hancock after this scandal.
