A large area in the vicinity of London Bridge has been evacuated as police investigate a security alert.
Passengers had to clear both the bus and rail stations after officers were called to investigate a security alert in London Bridge.
At the present time, London Bridge is closed both ways and traffic is slow on diversion. Commuters are being advised to expect delays in the surrounding area.
Speaking with The Standard, a Met Police spokesman said: “We were called to a security alert in London Bridge street at 1.40pm. The bus station and part of the rail station has been evacuated as a precaution. The incident is ongoing.”
The BBC have reported that the closure is due to a suspicious vehicle.
