Homenews

Liverpool Football Club have banned The Sun.

The tabloid will no longer be allowed to cover games at Anfield, or attend the club's training ground at Melwood. Liverpool have taken the measures over The Sun's infamous coverage of the Hillsborough disaster in which 96 of the club's supporters were unlawfully killed in 1989. Four days after the tragedy, The Sun ran a story, which has now been established to have been false, under the headline "The Truth." The Sun will also be denied access to interview Jurgen Klopp or Liverpool players. According to The Guardian, the decision was taken after meetings between club executives and the families of those who died in the disaster.
