Leaked Star Wars: Battlefront II trailer promises some tasty new treats

Fingers crossed this one actually turns out to be good

You can never judge a game by its trailer, but you can pore over it looking for details.

The recent Star Wars: Battlefront game was a little disappointing. The X-Wing/TIE fighter dogfights were cool, but the lack of a single-player campaign meant that it really felt like half a game, although playing as Darth Vader was undeniably badass.

While we don’t know much about the sequel at this stage, a leaked 30-second trailer has given us a couple of insights, and they look very exciting indeed. Check it out.

Firstly, the game spans all three trilogies, with characters from The Phantom Menace‘s Darth Maul to The Force Awakens‘ Rey popping up. Yoda and Kylo Ren also make an appearance, and damn, that’s exciting enough as it is.

The trailer also seems to promise the much-demanded single-player campaign which, if the trailer is anything to go off, will focus on an Imperial officer. “The untold soldier’s story” flashes up on the screen. Tantalising…

A full trailer is expected to drop at the Star Wars Celebration event which starts April 13, along with details of (and hopefully a trailer for) The Last Jedi.

It’s a good week to be a Star Wars fan.
