Katie Price charged by police after car crash

The reality star is due to appear in court this morning

Katie Price has been charged with driving while disqualified and without insurance after crashing her car on Tuesday. The 43-year-old was remanded in custody and will appear at Crawley Remand Court on Wednesday morning following her arrest. Price, who is banned from driving, is accused of flipping her BMW on a country road at 6.20am near West Grinstead. She was taken to hospital after the crash but is not believed to have been seriously injured.

A photograph tweeted by a local police officer of the crash showed a damaged BMW lying on its side across both lanes, its front lodged in the hedgerow, after the crash.
