The former Little Mix star shared details of her turbulent pregnancy.

Jesy Nelson has given birth to twins two months early after an emergency procedure.

The former Little Mix singer underwent an emergency procedure on Thursday, May 15, to give birth to identical twins with 26-year-old boyfriend, Zion Foster

The twins were born at 31 weeks and have been described by the first time mother as ‘healthy and fighting strong.’

The 33-year-old announced the news to her 9.6 million Instagram followers, saying: “We’ve never felt more in love.”

The singer had previously been sharing details of her turbulent pregnancy on social media.

She was previously diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), a rare and serious condition in which blood flows unevenly between identical twins sharing a placenta, putting both babies at risk.

The star has been frequently hospitalised with the condition.

At the time of her diagnosis, Jesy told fans: “The type of twins we are having are called mono/di twins and so normally most twins will have two placentas that they feed off of.

“But when you have mono/di twins, that means your twins live off one placenta which can lead to lots of complications – one of them being one baby might take all the nutrients which, and it’s really awful to say, but could lead to both babies dying.”

Following the fantastic announcement that the twins had been born safe and sound, Zion Foster said: “My princesses are here. Thank you god.”
