Jersey Shore’s Snooki reveals cancer diagnosis

She urged her fans to get checked

The 38-year-old, best known by her nickname Snooki, made the update on her TikTok video on February 20, where she shared the result of her biopsy.

“It came back stage 1 cervical cancer called adenocarcinoma,” the Jersey Shore star began.

“Obviously not the news I’ve been hoping for, but also not the worst news just because they caught it so early. Thank freaking God!”

The MTV reality star updated fans on her health nearly a month after she revealed her doctor had given her some scary news.

She also urged her fans to “get your pap smears done.”

Pap smears are screening tools for cervical cancer, and can detect abnormal cells in the cervix before they become cancerous.

“I’m 38 years old and I’ve been struggling with abnormal pap smears for 3 or 4 years now, and look at me,” she said.

“Instead of putting it off because I didn’t want to go, because I was hurt and scared, I just went and did it.”

“And it was there, cancer is in there, but it’s stage 1 and it’s curable. If I do all the things right. So get your appointments done, b***es!”, Snooki concluded.

Additionally, Snooki said she’s undergoing a PET scan next, which will reveal to her and her medical team if the cancer has potentially spread anywhere else in her body.
