Jared Leto accused of criminal sexual misconduct by four women

Oscar-winning actor Jared Leto is being accused of sexual misconduct, with the alleged offences taking place when the victims were teenagers

Two others have come forward accusing Leto of sexual conduct when they were 17, on one occasion the actor was said to have shrugged when hearing the alleged victims age. 

The fourth woman alleges she was groomed by Leto when she was 16. It's claimed Leto made multiple sexually explicit phone calls to the woman during this period.

She was subsequently sent a non-disclosure-agreement (NDA) to keep her from discussing the events. However, she refused to sign.

Four other women are said to have received strange sexual phone calls when they were younger.

One mentions that Leto made lewd comments on her breasts. She was 14 years old then, as her mother confronted Leto.

Leto is said to have repeated his comments, allegedly. 

10 women have come forward in total, with nine of them sharing their story publicly for the first time.

The stories were shared with the BBC documentary - Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret, broadcasting tonight on BBC one.

The events are said to have taken place between 2002 and 2016, with the women being teenagers back then. 

One of the alleged victims said: "This was 25 years ago… he has gotten away with it."

The BBC has corroborated a number of the alleged victims accounts with their close members who knew about the stories.

In some cases, they shared pictures and messages with the BBC documentary, supporting the women's accounts.

Additionally, two of Leto’s brand workers have shared their discomfort with the actor’s interactions towards teenage girls. Inviting them to his dressing room on some occasions, reportedly. 

One says: "I think everyone thought the age gap was way too big."

With the BBC broadcasting a documentary on the matter tonight, they have asked Leto to comment on the allegations, but have yet to receive a reply.
