Iconic metal band, Iron Maiden, are embarking on a huge 50th anniversary tour with tickets to go on sale imminently.
The Run For Your Lives tour promises to be a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ live experience for fans of the band.
The band, who formed in 1975, will play five UK and Ireland gigs in June before playing shows on the continent over summer.
The set list is said to include songs from the band’s first nine studio albums to celebrate 50 years of their music.
Tickets are expected to go on sale on Friday, September 27 at 12pm via Live Nation’s website.
Lead singer, Bruce Dickinson, 66, said: “Next year is a very special one for Iron Maiden and we’re going to be giving our fans a once-in-a-lifetime live experience.
“This is a tour that’s gonna put a smile on your face and a cheer in your throat. If you’ve seen us before, then get ready to take that experience to a whole new level.
“If you’ve never seen us before, then what the hell have you been waiting for? Now’s your chance to find out what you’ve been missing! Iron Maiden’s definitely gonna get ya!”
Dates are scheduled for Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Dublin and London, where they will perform at West Ham’s London Stadium.
Steve Harris, the founding member of the band and primary songwriter, is a lifelong fan of the football club.
He said: “My love of football and my support of West Ham is no secret, and I know many of our fans around the world have shared that with me too.
“So we’re all very excited to be playing at the London Stadium as part of The Run For Your Lives tour. And of course, it’s not just London – the whole UK tour is going to be a real celebration for all of us.
“To be able to bring this very special show to all our fans across the UK and Ireland next year is going to be a great way to mark 50 years of Iron Maiden. We can’t wait to see you all there!”
The band are currently embarking on The Future Past World Tour around the world, which is set to end in December in Sao Paulo.
British heavy metal group The Raven Age are set to open all UK and Ireland dates, with American rockers Halestorm joining them for the Dublin and London shows.
The band first hit the UK charts in the 70s have been at the top of the metal and rock scene ever since.
