Iran's new supreme leader has sent out the first strikes at Israel under his rule with a message marked on one of the missiles.
The war continues between Iran, the United States, Israel and allies, with the news last night being confirmed that Iran had appointed a new Supreme Leader.
Following the assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in US-Israeli strikes, his son has been chosen to be his successor, Mojtaba Khamenei.
The 56-year-old is the second of six children of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Mojtaba was selected by the country's Assembly of Experts and has wasted no time getting down to business in his role of supreme leader.
Iran has sent out its first strikes under the leadership of Mojtaba Khamenei, as per the state broadcaster IRIB's Telegram channel.
The new Khamenei took the opportunity to send a message to Israel with words painted on the side of one of the missiles.
It read: "At Your Service, Sayyid Mojtaba".
The ongoing war has caused the cost of a barrel of oil to skyrocket, passing the $100 per barrel point today, the first time since 2022.
In response to rising costs, Donald Trump claimed that this was a price worth paying for "safety and peace".
Taking to truth social he said: “Short term oil prices, which will drop rapidly when the destruction of the Iran nuclear threat is over, is a very small price to pay for U.S.A., and World, Safety and Peace."
