Tickets to the Wimbledon Championships are always amongst the most sought-after of any sporting event in the world.
More than 10,000 people were seen queuing up outside the doors of England’s most exclusive tennis club from as early as 3am on the opening day.
As a result, you’d expect that the offer of access to the Royal Box at Wimbledon’s Centre Court would be one of the highlights of anyone's year.
This wasn’t quite the case for British actor Hugh Grant, who — despite sitting a row behind Queen Camilla— was spotted dozing off by BBC cameras yesterday afternoon.
Just as legendary sportsman Novak Djokovic lost the opening set in a thrilling tie-break to his underdog competitor Flavio Cobolli, the Love Actually actor was seen battling to keep his eyes open.
Scenes of the actor's snooze led to debate between tennis fans on Twitter/X, with one writing: "The weather has just been so heavy and humid, making it tough to sleep at night, and the man was wearing a full suit, for goodness sake! I don't know how he does it, frankly."
Another said: "We normally do this during his movies tbh!"
Djokovic eventually recovered to beat Cobolli in four sets, setting up a rematch with world number one Jannik Sinner.
Sinner beat the Serbian during last month’s French Open semi finals.
