Hillary Clinton spotted for the first time since losing to Donald Trump

She's kept a low profile since Trump's shock win on Wednesday

After what may well have been the most stressful week of her life, it’s understandable that Hillary Clinton might have been keen to take some time to herself.

The Democratic presidential candidate had been on the campaign trail for more than a year before ultimately losing out on the presidency to Donald Trump (despite winning marginally more of the public vote).

Having been in the public spotlight so long, it makes sense that she’d want to go somewhere without fear of being bombarded by the press.

A hike out in the woods, for example.

She wasn’t able to escape *all* attention, though, with fellow hiker Margot Gerster taking a photo with the former Secretary of State (a photo which she would later remove from her Facebook page).

According to reports, the photo was taken in Chappaqua, New York, where Clinton lives with her husband Bill.

Being out in the woods has the added benefit of minimal mobile phone signal and minimal internet connection too, meaning it’s tougher to keep abreast of world affairs. You know, stuff like Donald Trump being elected president of the United States.

At the very least, it’s good to see her with a smile on her face after the last few days.
