Heartbreaking tributes are pouring in as news breaks that Sinead O'Connor has passed away at the age of 56.
The Dublin native had career spanning over three decades, with 10 studio albums and her single Nothing Compares 2 U was named the number one world single in 1990 by the Billboard Music Awards.
Irish Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has led tributes, saying her talent was beyond compare.
Among those to pay tribute were Dara O'briain and Adam Shanley, both of whom expressed their sadness at the news on Twitter.

Entertainment journalist Danny Deraney also paid tribute to her iconic rendition of Prince's Nothing Compares 2 U as well as her vocal criticism of the Church.
