Harry and Meghan’s wedding vows are going to be more modern than you’d expect

Harry and Meghan are getting married this afternoon and even though it's still early morning, updates on the wedding itself have been rife. Details about the ceremony were released by Kensington Palace earlier today  - 21 pages of them in total. It's already pretty common knowledge that Meghan will walk part way down the aisle by herself and then be met by Prince Charles halfway, but the former actor has decided to continue with the modern theme with her vows too. Like Diana and Kate before her, Meghan has chosen not to say that she will "obey" her husband following their marriage. Meghan and Marry will pledge themselves to each other, saying: "... for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part." Traditional words like "thee" and "thou" will be replaced with the clearly more modern word "you." The Archbishop of Canterbury will then address the 600 guests. He will say: "Will you, the families and friends of Harry and Meghan, support and uphold them in their marriage now and in the years to come?" The guests will answer: "We will" and then Meghan and Harry will be married. The published service also reveals that, as well as traditional hymns, prayers and readings, contemporary wedding songs will also be used. A gospel choir will make an appearance to sing a rendition of Ben E King's Stand By Me and Etta's James's This Little Light Of Mine.  Televised coverage of the wedding has already begun but the ceremony itself will kick off at 12pm.
