Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May's replacements have been revealed by insiders.
YouTube stars Thomas Holland and James Engelsman are taking over The Grand Tour and have recruited social media sensation, Francis Bourgeois.
Canadian Thomas Holland and Brit James Engelsman's Throttle House brand has a total of 3.2 million subscribers on YouTube. The duo is known to do road tests and car reviews. Their videos regularly accumulate to more than 2.5 million views.
And then there's Francis Bourgeois, who became a viral sensation thanks to his love of train-spotting.
A source told The Sun: “Thomas and James are as knowledgeable about motors as Jeremy, Richard, and James - the only difference is they’re younger, cooler and a lot more social media savvy.
“Francis became famous for his love of train spotting and will be bringing his humour to the show.”
It was announced last year that Clarkson, Hammond, and May's joint production company would be dissolved, suggesting they wouldn't all be working together again. The programme has run since 2016 but ended when Clarkson admitted he was too 'unfit and fat and old' for filming parts of the programme.
He had told The Times: “I’ve driven cars higher than anyone else and further north than anyone else.
“We’ve done everything you can do with a car. When we had meetings about what to do next, people just threw their arms in the air.”
May also said he thinks it's the right time for a brand new motoring show to take the place of Top Gear and The Grand Tour because the presenters are too old.
However, he didn’t rule out the possibility of the trio reuniting on another project but added: You do have to bear in mind that we’re all getting on a bit.”
