Gary Lineker has responded after a viral video was shared where he is seen walking in a Mexico street.
The former England international did not hold back after far-right activist, Tommy Robinson, shared the video on social media.
Robinson had previously criticized Lineker for his actions which led to him leaving his post as host on Match of the Day, which included him sharing a post about Zionism that included the illustration of a rat.
This was considered a 'breach of guidelines', per BBC.
However, Robinson has now reignited his ‘quarrel’ with the former Tottenham, Leicester and Barcelona footballer.
"What are you up to here @GaryLineker?", was Robinson’s caption on his post on X.
And Lineker in a repost explained exactly what was happening in that video.
"If you must know, I was going to a chemist with my daughter-in-law, to get some medicine for her unwell husband….my son. Hatred is a dreadful weakness."
Harry Lineker, the footballing legend’s son, since the summer has been married to Bella, the woman in the video.
Gary’s other son and Harry’s brother, George, said Robinson was a ‘f***ing idiot’ for sharing the clip.
Lineker has also been pestered by Robinson’s supporters during his rallies, as he claimed that he was ‘elbowed in the back’ by an older woman while she was heading there and once admitted to being told he ‘hated Britain’.
Lineker’s last trip to Mexico, in which he is seen in in the clip, was the first time he visited the country since the 1986 World Cup where he had won the Golden Boot and Maradona scored that infamous ‘Hand of God’ goal, according to a post on his Instagram.
