following these reports, Mr Weinstein, 65, was fired by the board of his own company, The Weinstein Company. He was also expelled from the motion picture academy.

BBC has also reported that UK police are investigating a number of sexual assault allegations involving Mr Weinstein.
Weinstein has "unequivocally denied" any allegations of non-consensual sex.
