Four teenagers stabbed in South London

One of the victims is critically injured after allegedly being ‘disembowelled’

Four males, all aged between 15 and 16, were hospitalised following stabbings in Camberwell, South London.

The incident occurred on Thursday, 16 August, at around 1725hrs in the evening.

The victims were found suffering from stab wounds and were rushed to south London hospitals. A police update indicates one remains in critical condition, one is in a serious but stable condition and the remaining two did not suffer serious injuries.

Met police arrested six other males at the scene of the incident in the Elmington estate and all remain in custody on suspicion of violent disorder and grievous bodily harm.

According to witnesses, one of the victims was heard shouting for help before the attack, whilst another was seen collapsing to the ground with his intestines spilling out.

Harriet Harman, MP for Camberwell and Peckham, said she was very concerned by the quadruple stabbing. A police presence remains at the crime scene.

A Section 60 (stop and search without suspicion) has been authorised and will be in force until 0930hrs on Friday, 17 August.
