Brits are set for a four-day Bank Holiday weekend next summer to celebrate 70 years since Queen Elizabeth II's coronation
Just a couple of months ago, we reported that
plans for a four-day Bank Holiday weekend in honour of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee were being discussed by Culture Secretary
Oliver Dowden.
Now,
as announced by the Royal Family themselves, those plans have been confirmed and Brits will be able to enjoy an extended break from June 2nd-5th, along with a series of events including street parties, Trooping the Colour, 'The Big Jubilee Lunch' and more.

Her Majesty will celebrate 70 years on the throne in June 2022 and the festivities are being described as a 'once-in-a-generation' occurrence and will see Britain afforded an extra two days of day drinking. Lovely jubilee.
The monarch will be 96 by the time the landmark is reached, making her the first sovereign to reign for seven decades. The recent
passing of Prince Philip will no doubt play a part in the numerous arrangements, with dedications to each and their years of service both as individuals and as a pair.
