The FAA are currently investigating

On February 13th, Indiana Jones and Star Wars actor Harrison Ford was piloting a plane that was involved in a near-miss incident with a commercial jetliner at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California.

After being instructed to land his single-engine plane on a runway, Ford mistakenly landed it on a parallel taxiway, passing over a nearby American Airlines jet in the process.

In a recording of the incident, Ford is overheard saying “was that airliner meant to be underneath me?”

No one was hurt in the incident but the authorities are investigating.

ABC News have released footage of the incident and you can clearly see Ford’s single-engine yellow plane coming in from the right side of the screen.

The actor is a qualified and experienced pilot, however he has had previous accidents while flying.

In 1999, he crash-landed a helicopter in Ventura County, California and in March 2015, the actor was injured when his plane crashed on a Los Angeles golf course.
