Five people have been taken to hospital while 21 more were treated at the scene of an incident earlier today at Heathrow Airport.
The London Ambulance Service said in a statement: "We sent a number of resources to the scene, and cared for 21 patients.
"Five patients were taken to hospital.
"The ambulance service was stood down from the scene at 10.58am."
Police said that "a form of pepper spray" had been used on people at the airport by a group of men.
People have faced major disruption at the airport after the incident which reportedly happened in a multi-storey car park in Terminal 3.
The BBC have reported that police confirmed that the incident is neither terrorism nor a protest.
The London Ambulance Service said a "significant incident" was declared around 8.40am.
There was a "full deployment" of resources and the ambulance service is treating it as ongoing.
Heathrow Airport released a statement on their X account which read: "Our teams are currently responding to an incident involving the emergency services in the Terminal 3 multi-storey car park.
"Passengers are advised to allow extra time when travelling to the airport and to check with their airline for any queries."
