Woman appears to fart during Depp-Heard trial

‘Sorry, that was me!’

A TikTok appearing to show a woman farting during her testimony in the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard defamation trial has gathered millions of views online.

Gina Deuters was testifying in the case on Depp’s behalf, and answered questions about some of the actor’s drug and alcohol consumption.

She told the court that had seen him use weed and cocaine occasionally but that she had never seen Depp violent or angry after taking any drugs or drinking alcohol.

An unverified clip has now emerged on TikTok which appears to show Deuters letting one rip during her testimony and immediately owning up to it, CinemaBlend reports.

The clip has been viewed more than 11 million times.

Whether this happened or not, Deuters was later dismissed from court after she admitted to having watched parts of the trial and witness testimonies from the trial online before taking the stand.

Heard’s legal team asked whether they could approach Judge Penney Azcarate. After they conferred, the jury was sent out for a brief recess.

When the court reconvened, Judge Azcarate asked Deuters: “Have you been watching the trial this past week?”

Deuters replied: “I’ve seen clips of it online, yes.”

The judge promptly excused her once this came to light, with all of her testimony struck from the record.

Throughout the trial so far, there have been a number of weird and bizarre moments that have sometimes even left those in court unable to hide their amusement.

Depp is currently suing his former wife Heard for defamation over a Washington Post op-ed she wrote in 2018 in which she discussed the subject of domestic abuse.

Depp’s team argue that the piece falsely implies that Heard was physically and sexually abused by Depp while they were married from 2015 to 2017. He is seeking $50m in damages.

Heard is in turn suing her former husband, accusing him of orchestrating a “smear campaign” against her and labelling his lawsuit as a continuation of “abuse and harassment.”

She has asked for immunity from Depp’s complaint, and $100m in damages.
