“He could have easily been the first name on the list.”

Premier League fans have been left disappointed by the latest Hall of Fame nominees after one player didn’t make it on the list.

The Premier League announced their new inductees on Thursday with the likes of Nemanja Vidić, Sol Campbell, Michael Carrick and Jermain Defoe have all been added to the list.

But fans believe that one club man, and former Manchester United winger, Ryan Giggs should have been included on the list.

Giggs holds the record for the most assists in Premier League history having registered 162 in 632 appearances while also scoring 102 goals for the Red Devils.

“I feel so bad for Ryan Giggs, could have easily been the first name on the list.”

Another tweeted: “Where the hell is Giggs? The record for most assists in this competition is his.”

A third person said: “Ryan Giggs being left of the EPL hall of fame shows you how much the media hates Man United.”

“A premier league hall of fame without Ryan Giggs isn’t credible,” said another.

“They are not giving hall of fame to Ryan Giggs? Gerrard got in without even winning anything,” wrote another user.

On Wednesday, the Premier League announced that legendary managers Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsène Wenger had been inducted into its official Hall of Fame/ With 16 titles between them, they became the first individuals inducted as part of the ‘Class of 2023.’
