Expert reveals the two things that could officially trigger WW3

Let's hope they don't come to fruition

A security specialist has pinpointed two things that may lead to a Third World War after Iran warned the West not to interrupt its assault on Israel.

You've already heard about the cataclysmic conflict between Israel and Iran, where the geo-neighbouring enemies swapped major missile strikes over the last few days, but according to University of Buckingham lecturer Professor Anthony Glees, this spells the blueprint for a future fracas across Europe.

Outlining the scenarios that would pave the way for this, he told The Mirror: "First, that Iran hits back hard, is supported by its admittedly weakened proxies, Hezbollah, the Houthis and what's left of Hamas, as well as its chums in the region and beyond."

It's believed that the likes of Russia's President Vladimir Putin, North Korea tyrant Kim Jong-Un and China's Xi Jinping could seize an opportunity if the Americans are distracted.

"We recall that Putin is firing Shahed drones at Ukraine. Now is the time to pursue their own bugbears in Ukraine, South Korea and Taiwan," added Glees.

"Naturally we hope this won't happen. But if it does, I think what Israel has been doing since about 3am gives us a blueprint for what could happen to us here in Europe."

In the expert's mind, there's no doubting that Europe's primary antagonist will be Putin's Russia.

Glees predicts that the first mode of attack will be of a cyber nature, explaining: "It will not only knock out our digital communications networks. We hope the government networks which are far more secure will be resilient enough to withstand such an attack, but who knows.

"We know that the Israelis sent alarms to every single mobile phone user in Israel, warning them about the attack at 3am, including those who had switched off their phones, or put them on silent mode."

Even though the explosions aren't happening in our backyards, UK foreign affairs adviser Fiona Hill claimed this month that we're already at war with Russia.

Here's what would happen if Putin does in fact strike with weapons.
