Everything you need to know about the FIFA 17 demo coming out tomorrow

It's finally here...

Carl Anka

FIFA 17 is almost here.

Almost.

After hype, speculation and numerous teases, this week will see the release of the FIFA 17 demo.

FIFA 17, in your homes. No more messing. Just for you to enjoy.

Here’s what you can expect.

(In the interest of fairness, it’s only right we tell you the demo for Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 is out right now.)

FIFA 17 DEMO

There will be 12 teams available

The new demo will offer up *deep breath* Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, PSG, Juventus, Gamba Osaka, Lyon, Inter, Seattle Sounders and Tigres.

There’s no news yet of how long matches in the demo will last (please none of that 2 minutes a half nonsense EA).

Our tip? Play a few games as Real, then swap to Sounders. It’ll give you a proper feel for the systems that underpin the Frostbite engine powered game.

Stamford Bridge will be the pick of the stadiums

There will be three stadiums available in the FIFA 17 demo: Stamford Bridge, CenturyLink Field (home of Seattle Sounders) and Gamba Osaka’s Suita City Football Stadium.

FIFA skill Games

There will be a few skill games to perfect your techniques

As we reported a few months ago, FIFA 17’s new penalty system will take some time getting used to. So we were delighted to hear the demo will come bundled with four single-player skill games and three multiplayer skill games to practise a few things out.

We’re going to work on our freekick technique. We want to smash a couple of 30-yarders like Payet…

Alex Hunter will also be there.

Remember the name…. Alex Hunter!

The protagonist of FIFA’s new single player mode “The Journey“, the new FIFA demo will offer up a slice of the game’s most hotly anticipated feature. In the demo you’re limited to playing as Manchester United in The Journey. We’re going to try our best to get Rooney out the number 10 position.

FIFA 17 Reus

It’s out on 13th September for PC, PlayStation 4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Tuesday is, without a doubt, the worst day of the week. Which is why we’re glad EA Sports is doing their best to cheer us up on the snakiest of all days by giving us this new demo.

Release timings are subject to change, but providing EA Sports servers hold, the demo will be with us on Tuesday afternoon-ish. Just hop onto your systems online portal of choice and it should be available to download for free.
