Try not to Lose It over this one!
Eminem fans are likely to Lose It over news the rapper is dropping a hot new joint.
But it isn’t another banger, Marshall Mathers, has mixed-up a condiment that’s gonna likely to fly off the shelves.
The MC revealed on October 24 that he’s going to extend his ‘Lose Yourself’ brand beyond his chain of Mom’s Spaghetti restaurants, that he’s opened in his hometown of Detroit, and New York.
Mom’s Spaghetti – named after the famous verse in the theme song for his biographic movie, 8 Movie – will now be available by the jar.
For anyone who doesn’t know – Eminem raps: “His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy. There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti He’s nervous, but on the surface, he looks calm and ready To drop bombs, but he keeps on forgetting.”
Eminem posted on X: “From the D 2 ur kitchen #momsspaghetti sauce is droppin 10/26.”
A video accompanying the post cued to ‘Drop the Bomb On ‘Em’ from his 2009 Relapse: Refill album.
The clip featured jars of Mon’s Spaghetti sauce falling through the sky and smashing on a traditional red-and-white checkered tablecloth accompanied by the message, “The sauce is dropping.”
Commenters on the post were somewhat preoccupied with Eminem’s other endeavours, with one writing: “You drop album I buy the sauce, deal.”
Another joked: “We got sauce before a new album.”
A third echoed the sentiment: “This is not what we meant when we said drop the album.”
After opening the first Mom’s in Detroit in September 2021, Eminem brought the chain to Los Angeles for a Super Bowl pop-up in February 2022, then opened in New York in November that year.
Eminem’s last album, Music To Be Murdered By, was released in January 2020.
