Elon Musk has reacted to AI-generated images which imagine a ‘happy ending’ to his feud with fellow billionaire Mark Zuckerberg.
It’s fair to say that if the two were put in a room together now, the atmosphere would be frosty.
Earlier this month, Zuckerberg launched Threads, a platform quite clearly positioned as Meta’s answer to Twitter.
In just a few days, tens of millions had signed up to the platform, helped largely by the fact that the app is linked to Instagram, so anyone with an Insta account can create a Threads account.
Zuckerberg’s new app shares a remarkable amount of similarities to Twitter, with users able to post, share, like and follow other people on the app.
Musk, who has owned Twitter since October 2022, clearly believes the two social media sites are too similar and has threatened to sue Zuckerberg over the ‘copycat’ platform.
This all came after the two billionaires had agreed to take each other on in a cage fight.
So, given the rivalry between the pair, many were stunned when images of them holding hands on a beach surfaced online.
Of course, this was once again the work of artificial intelligence, which people have been using a lot in recent months to generate images of hypothetical things and scenarios.
The images were shared on Twitter by user Sir Doge of the Coin, and sparked hilarity as they show the two power-hungry sociopaths running across the shore together and hugging.
Since being shared, the images have been viewed by 8 million people, and been liked almost 146,000 times.
The post has been so popular that they’ve even reached Musk himself, and it seems like he saw the funny side, simply reacting with a ‘laughing-crying’ emoji.
I wouldn’t get your hopes up about the possibility of the images becoming reality though.
Just last week, the ever-mature Musk proposed he and Zuckerberg have a d**k measuring contest.
This was after the Tesla boss had tweeted “Zuck is a cuck.”
A ‘cuck’, short for ‘cuckold’, is a term for a man who enjoys watching his partner have sex with other people. It is popular in rightwing circles as a term of derision.
