Many have failed to see what the big deal is
Shadow Home Secretary Diane Abbott has apologised after she was photographed drinking alcohol on a London Overground train.
Since 2008, it has been illegal to illegal to drink on public transport, under rules introduced by then-mayor Boris Johnson.
In a tweet, Diane Abbott said "A photo of me drinking from a can of M&S mojito on the Overground has been circulated. I'm sincerely sorry for drinking on TFL."

The picture was published in The Sun.
On social media, far from being shocked, many found Abbott drinking a can of M&S premixed cocktail very relatable.

Fellow Labour MPs David Lammy and Alex Sobel also stated that they did not see what all the fuss was about.
