Thanks to a feature on his phone, a father has turned into a hero as he managed to track down his missing daughter on Christmas Day.
His daughter, 15, disappeared after she took the dog out for a walk in the town of Porter, outside Houston, Texas.
She was then found by her dad who used the parental controls on his mobile phone.
Thanks to the technology, he was led to a “partially wooded” area two miles from the town, in Harris County.

According to the police, he was found by his daughter inside of a pickup truck with a partially naked man.
The dad called emergency suspect who later caught the suspect, once he helped his daughter escape.
Giovanni Rosales Espinoza, 23, was arrested by the police after a detailed description of him was given to the authorities.
Espinoza had threatened the young girl with a knife after abducting her, investigators said.

The suspect is now being held in jail and has been refused bond bail, after being charged with aggravated kidnapping and indecency with a child.
“Christmas is a day meant for joy, but this man chose to shatter that joy by targeting a child”, Montgomery County Sheriff Wesley Doolittle said.
“I am incredibly proud of our deputies and detectives who worked tirelessly to ensure this dangerous predator was swiftly apprehended and is now off our streets. Rest assured that your Sheriff’s Office remains vigilant every hour of every day to keep your families safe”, he added.
According to retired special agent Jim Cavanaugh, “if you want someone to come and rescue you, having your location is critical”, adding that he would make the hero dad “father of the year”.
