Scottish DJ and producer Calvin Harris was taken to hospital after being involved in a car accident in Los Angeles last night.

TMZ reported that the incident happened at around 11pm when the Cadillac in which he was a passenger collided with a VW Bug Convertible.

It’s thought that the 32-year-old had a laceration on his face and was taken to a Los Angeles hospital. However, he reportedly left the hospital against medical advice.

The driver of the other car seems to have been a teenage girl, who suffered a broken pelvis in the smash.

A spokesperson for the LAPD said:

“A vehicle crossed the centre line and collided with an SUV which Harris was a passenger in. He was transported to a local hospital for a cut to his nose. In the other vehicle a juvenile was ejected from the vehicle for not wearing a seatbelt and suffered a broken pelvis. All the passengers in the car were juveniles.”

Calvin, whose real name is Adam Wiles, had to cancel a gig as a result and the below was posted to his official Facebook page.

Harris, who is from Dumfries, is estimated to be worth £93million. He is currently dating fellow pop star Taylor Swift.
