Britney Spears has been arrested

BREAKING.

The pop superstar was arrested in Ventura County, California on Wednesday night.

TMZ report that Spears was handcuffed by California Highway Patrol at around 9.30pm (local time) last night.

It's been reported that she's been arrested for driving under the influence.

This news comes shortly after Spears had a legal victory after being granted a permanent restraining order against a man who randomly showed up outside of her home after sharing a number of 'disturbing social media posts'.

The man had been harassing Spears since 2013, according to court reports.
