A British teenager has allegedly been raped in Majorca by two men described as “a famous Vietnamese actor and musician”, according to reports.
The 17-year-old told police she was attacked at a hotel in Andratx, the south-west of the Spanish island, after she began socialising with the pair at a nearby restaurant.
The girl’s aunt is said to have alerted police after being contacted by her relative, the Mirror reported.
Local newspaper Ultima Hora said that the teen told officers the men, aged 37 and 42, made her shower after the alleged rape, to eliminate evidence.
The publication described the man as an “actor and musician with a long professional career in the south east Asian country.”
The pair were arrested early on Saturday morning and are said to have been released on bail, but banned from leaving Spain.
The British teenager is believed to have left the island with her family.
Ultima Hora says the men and the girl were staying in separate hotels in the municipality of Andratx but after meeting at the restaurant the girl agreed to return to the men’s hotel.
Police confirmed they had been called to deal with an alleged rape at a hotel in Andratx, the Mirror said, and quoted a police source as saying two Vietnamese nationals were arrested over the incident and that an investigation was ongoing.
The arrested men have not been named.
