Popular supermarket chain Aldi has started selling a sun bed for your dog just in time for the heatwave that’s currently sent the UK into a sweltering mess.
The Dog Rattan Lounger is part of the store’s new Pet Collection and allows your pooch pal to enjoy the sunshine safely from the sheltered confines of a swanky new bed. Costing £99.99, the item promises to provide “luxury and comfort for your pet” – because why should us humans have all the fun this summer?
The best part is that it’s not just for dogs either. This compact grey lounger bed would even provide a perfect shady spot for cats, rabbits or any household pets that weigh up to the product’s recommended 30kg weight limit.
“Treat your dog to this luxury Pet Collection Dog Rattan Lounger. This stylish piece of furniture will not only look great against your rattan range but will provide comfort for your pal when it’s time to rest and nap,” says the product’s official website blurb.
“It features a beautiful grey rattan frame, a comfy cushion and a removable water bowl for when they get thirsty during the summer. This practical lounger has been designed with a canopy for when they are looking to rest in the shade.”
The Aldi site adds: “The rattan material is made with UV50+ protection and both the canopy and cushion are water repellent. The rattan lounger is perfect for giving your pet the rest they deserve.”
With an amber weather warning alert recently issued promising extreme heat and a potential risk to life, it looks like this pet friendly home addition couldn’t have come soon enough.
