“The greatest heavy metal show ever.”

Ozzy Osbourne will reunite with Black Sabbath for a final bow concert.

The gig, which will be his final ever performance, was announced by Sharon Osbourne and Ozzy’s longterm bandmate, Tony Iommi.

It’s been dubbed the ‘greatest heavy metal show ever’ and will take place in their home of Birmingham at Villa Park on July 5.

The Back To The Beginning show will be Sabbath’s first performance together in 20 years with the original band of Ozzy, Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.

It will also feature sets from Metallica, Alice In Chains and a ‘supergroup of musicians’ including Duff McKagan and Slash, Billy Corgan, Fred Durst, and Tom Morello.

In a statement, Ozzy said: “It’s my time to go Back to the Beginning, time for me to give back to the place where I was born.

“How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham forever.”
