Donald Trump’s daughter accidentally tags Meat Loaf in Twitter picture of her dad

Easy mistake to make

Donald Trump’s daughter has seemingly tagged the rock star Meat Loaf in a photograph of her father, the incumbent President of the United States.

In a picture posted on Twitter, Ivanka Trump can be seen aboard a plane with her father – though the photo’s tags tell a slightly different story.

“Off to Georgia with Dad! Get out and VOTE Georgia!!!” she said, before tagging the Republican Party’s official Twitter account, two Republican senators from Georgia, the White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications and last but not least – the rock star Meat Loaf.

Meat Loaf has sold over 50 million albums worldwide. He shot to stardom after the release of his debut LP in 1977, Bat Out of Hell.

He isn’t, however, the President of the United States, and neither is he Ivanka Trump’s father. Meat Loaf’s account (@RealMeatLoaf) was tagged instead of the incumbent President’s username, @realDonaldTrump.

Twitter users were left baffled as to why Ivanka Trump tagged the singing sensation – and not her actual father.

One user commented: “I would just like to point out that she didn’t tag her dad in this picture. However, she did tag Meat Loaf. I feel like there is some symbolism in that.”

Another said: “She didn’t tag her Dad in this picture. However, she did tag Meat Loaf.”

The Republican Party is currently campaigning in Georgia ahead of US Senate elections in the state. The two Repubican senators correctly tagged in Trump’s post are under threat from Democrat rivals Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock.

Earlier this week, leaked audio showed Donald Trump pressuring election officials to ‘find’ enough Georgia votes.

A recording of a phone call between Trump and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger was obtained by the Washington Post and published in full on Sunday.

During the phone call, the full transcript of which can be read here, Trump can be heard asking Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to ‘find’ enough votes to overturn his defeat to President-Elect Joe Biden.
