"I heard there was a misunderstanding about the release date of Tha CV. I heard y'all got a little mixed up and y'all thought it was going to be released like last week or something. Well, I would like for you to know that since y'all stuck with me and hung in there anyway for like the past four, five years, through all of this - y'all got me feeling like Tiger Woods with this comeback - but on my birthday, I actually have something special: I will be releasing Tha Carter V."Toward the end of the video, Wayne then posted the cover art for CV, which sticks to the series' childhood theme, and portrays a younger version of Weezy standing alongside his mother. https://twitter.com/LilTunechi/status/1044695570588336133 Want to know exactly when Tha Carter V will be out? Wayne has installed a countdown on Tha Carter V website, which will continue to run until the album's release date. The road to Tha Carter V has been a long one. Embroiled in a long drawn out legal battle with his label Cash Money Records that was finally settled in June this year, Lil Wayne first told us Tha Carter V would "most likely" arrive in 2013. The next supposed release date was May 5th 2014. After that day passed, Wayne said the LP was coming "September or August." Next up: October 28th. That day, instead of Tha Carter V, Wayne shared a P.S.A. in which he announced a December 9th 2014 release date. That was the last firm date Wayne gave until this new date that looks very likely to be real.
