"After almost 10 years of dedicating my life to BBC Radio 1Xtra and Radio 1 and achieving everything I set out to I've decided the time has come to leave the BBC and seek a new challenge."Thanking everyone who has listened to his various shows over the years and those who have supported him, Charlie then reeled off a list of people who helped him within the BBC. He added:
"I hope my colleagues at 1Xtra and Radio 1 keep up the amazing work, it's been an incredible place to work. I joined the BBC as a boy and I leave as a man. "Together we have created some moments that will live forever."Not revealing what his "new challenge" is yet, he simply posted: "Announcement on what's next coming soon." With speculation that he's signed on to take on a show or podcast either at Spotify or Apple Music, this news comes off the back of the heels of BBC mainstay DJ Semtex also leaving BBC 1Xtra and going to Spotify to start his own podcast series, Who We Be TALKS_. https://www.instagram.com/p/Boe9sWdlAkM/?hl=en&taken-by=charliesloth
