Blossoms to headline homecoming show at Stockport County FC

Will Lavin

“They’re coming home, they’re coming home, Blossoms coming home”

Blossoms have today announced a huge homecoming show set to take place next year.

The band will be playing their biggest headline gig to date at Stockport County’s Edgeley Park Stadium on June 22nd 2019. Support will come from The Coral, Cabbage, The Blinders and Fuzzy Sun.

Speaking about the show the band said:

“Having already played Wembley, the Etihad Stadium and Old Trafford, we’re now particularly pleased to be headlining at the football ground closest to our hearts … and our houses … Stockport County Edgeley Park.”

Recently selling out their entire December 2018 UK tour in a single day, selling over 25,000 tickets in the process, it’s fair to say the Blossoms are doing alright.

The UK tour will see them play at venues in Glasgow, Sheffield, Nottingham, Birmingham, Bristol and Southampton, as well as two gigs at Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse and a London date at Brixton Academy.

The dates are as follows:

Dec 3rd 2018 – Glasgow, O2 Academy Glasgow

Dec 4th 2018 – Sheffield, O2 Academy Sheffield

Dec 5th 2018 – Nottingham, Rock City

Dec 7th 2018 – Birmingham, O2 Academy Birmingham

Dec 8th 2018 – Manchester, O2 Victoria Warehouse

Dec 11th 2018 – Southampton, O2 Guildhall Southampton

Dec 12th 2018 – Bristol, O2 Academy Bristol

Jun 22nd 2019 – Stockport, Edgeley Park

Tickets for the gig are available from www.gigsandtours.com at 9am on Friday October 19th.

Following its release in April, Blossoms second album Cool Like You has amassed over 18,000,000 streams worldwide. The album charted at number four in the UK album chart and spawned the singles “I Can’t Stand It”, “There’s A Reason Why (I Never Returned Your Calls)” and “How Long Will This Last?”
