A woman has been slammed on social media for recommending an extremely revealing dress to customers as a suitable funeral outfit.
The owner of the British brand EdgyLittlePieces took to TikTok wearing what she claims is the “perfect” outfit to wear to a funeral.
The black halter-neck mini-dress featured large cut-outs that showed her cleavage and entire torso, with spaghetti straps that crisscrossed over her neck, chest, breasts and stomach.
In the video, which has gained more than 60,000 views, she said: "Hi ladies. So we've had so many people asking for funeral fits and we've just got this piece in today, so look no further.
"We think it's absolutely perfect."
The caption for the clip read: "Funeral dresses back on pre-order now."
Followers were left stunned by the video, and branded the dress "inappropriate" and "disrespectful" for the occasion.
One user said: "Is it me or does this seem disrespectful?"
Another added: "There’s no way someone would wear that to a funeral."
A third commented: "For a funeral bit inappropriate."
"If I put this on for a funeral I think I would get disowned," a fourth said.
Meanwhile, others thought the dress was perfect - for a night out or party.
However, the model has since responded to the comment, arguing that the dress is "super modest" and claiming customer feedback has been good on the product.
She argued in a follow-up video: "[I] have to disagree.
"We’ve had so many girls wear this to funerals and they messaged us and said they got so many compliments."
“It’s super covered up, it doesn’t show any cleavage, and it’s super modest as well.”
