A couple has given new meaning to the phrase, 'father of the bride', and the internet can't quite handle it. After recently tying the knot in Las Vegas, besotted bride, Christy, broadcast her passionate first kiss with her groom moments after the pair exchanged vows. Christy wrapped her legs around her groom's waist, as the pair passionately embraced as the wedding party clapped and took pictures on their phones. But it was the caption on the video that caught viewers attention. Twenty one million people have watched the short clip. The mother-of-two from Tampa, Florida, wrote: "Marrying my step dad was the best decision I ever made."

In the caption for the clip Christy added the hashtags “#MarryYourMomsEx” and #itsworthit. As expected, TikTok users lost their s*** over the clip. Some 124,000 people commented. “I don’t think I can come up with a situation where this happens and there’s no ick,” one person wrote, the New York Post noted. “There’s 7 billion people in the world. Why?” asked another user. “He really went from ‘dad’ to ‘daddy‘ didn’t he,” joked a third. Other than being horrified, many online wondered about Christy’s relationship with her mum — the groom’s ex-wife. “Am I the only [one] wondering how your mom is doing?” one person commented. Another asked: “Isn’t mom included in ‘Girl Code,’” asked another, referring to the idea that a woman’s ex is eternally off limits to friends and family. Christy addressed the question, and other obvious ones, in a follow-up video. She said her mum could be seen in the background of the wedding video and stressed she was "not groomed" and was not raised by her husband. The video didn't really quell the disgust. One person wrote: "Thanks! I was feeling bad about myself but now I'm happy."
