'Let them have a wee pillow fight, what's the worst that could happen?'

We imagine that's what the conversation went like in the officers mess at this US Army academy just before they let 1,000 cadets loose with a load of cushions. It looks like the traditional 'plebe pillow fight' at the elite West Point military academy started off as a bit of friendly fun - and it does look bloody fun. But it turned into a bloodbath pretty quickly when some cadets started putting heavy objects in their pillows. 30 young soldiers were wounded in the fracas - with one lad suffering a broken leg, and others dislocating shoulders and treated for concussion.
