A tech mogul has been injecting himself with the blood of his teenage son in a bid to remain youthful.
Anti-aging crusader Bryan Johnson has been receiving his young son's plasma to aid with the rejuvenation and recovery of cell damage caused during the aging process.
He is known for spending millions of dollars every year on various different treatments aimed at turning back time.
But this one surely takes the biscuit.
Johnson and his son, Talmage, have been undergoing transfusions at a Dallas clinic where a litre of their blood is removed and converted via a machine into its piece parts - one batch of liquid plasma and then a batch of red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.
That collection is then fed into Johnson's veins with the goal of rejuvenating and repairing cellular damages wrought by the aging process by replacing old blood in an old body with new blood from a young donor.
It's not the first procedure Johnson has undergone.
The tech tycoon has become the poster child of drastic measures to prevent age-related decline, and it could be working!
According to Mail reports, Johnson and his doctors claim that in two years he has reduced his overall biological age by more than five years and now has the heart of a 37-year-old, the skin of a 28-year-old and the lung capacity and fitness of an 18-year-old.
He has more recently undergone plasma swapping using transfusions from a young, anonymous donor who he had carefully screened.
Johnson also takes dozens of supplements a day, and eats a strict vegan diet of blended foods, all while waking up religiously at 5am.
He says his aim is to ensure that his brain, liver, kidneys, teeth, skin, hair, penis and rectum are functioning as they were when he was 18.
