Passenger left fuming after being put in window seat with no window

The woman was 'infuriated' when she got to her seat.

The woman, who took to Reddit to share her bizarre experience, was travelling on the flight for work and said she would be "super salty" if her job hadn't paid for the seat.

Under the username RockingInTheCLE, she wrote: "I’ve never been on a flight where the window seat has no window! If my job wasn’t paying for this I’d be super salty about paying for a non-existent view. But as it is, I’m just mildly infuriated."

The post was accompanied with a selfie of her and her non-existent window, and received over six hundred comments in the thread.

Many people admitted that they would be annoyed by the seat, with one sarcastically declaring: "It’s an Imagination Window, where anything you can dream, could be true! (Imagination Window is an extra $300 + service charge.)"

Another person commented: "Congratulations, you found the air conditioning riser duct seat!"

Someone else said: "When you book a window seat for the views, but the airline assumes you're more into abstract wall art."

And another user added: "My very first time on a plane this happened to me. I was P*****. I'll never choose the very back seat again."

Other Reddit users had the same experience and shared images from their own windowless journeys.

Some people recommended websites and apps that can help you to identify whether or not your seat has a window in advance, as well as revealing how much legroom a particular plane has or how comfortable the seats are.

One person wrote: "I definitely recommend SeatGuru. You’ll also be warned for seats that are extra narrow or have limited leg space, etc."

Another user added: "Use SeatGuru to check out seat concerns and which ones are better."

While typically we'd add that 'other seat-checking sites are available', considering how niche this is we're just going to let the company have a well-deserved mention.
