Keeping your private information as safe as possible is extremely important, so iPhone users may be worried by the recent discovery of a security bug in iOS 9.
A chap named Jose Rodriguez, who has a history of discovering iPhone glitches, has uncovered a bug relating to Siri's lock screen access and the iOS 9's five-attempt lock-out system.
Speaking to AppleInsider, Rodriguez confirmed that he does not own the iPhone used in the demonstration below, nor were his fingerprints registered with Touch ID.
(Note: Only devices protected by simple four or six-digit passcodes are vulnerable to attack, while those with long alphanumeric passwords remain unaffected.)
He posted the video below in an effort to raise awareness among iPhone users regarding this flaw and while there's no fix just yet from Apple, you can prevent any issues by taking the following steps.
Go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode, enter your current passcode and deactivate Siri under the "Allow access when locked" heading.
