A condom emoji might be on the way (Video)

Safety first

Paul Moore

Like it or loathe it, there’s no denying that we’re living in an emoji-dominated world as seen by the newly crowned most popular word of the year.

A picture can sometimes say a thousand words – and if you happen to need a little help conveying your romantic intentions, then this proposed emoji might help.

Durex have launched a #CondomEmoji campaign as a way to encourage safe sex because according to their research, 84% of 18 to 25-year-olds say that it’s easier to talk about sex by using emojis as opposed to text.

If a phallic emoji helps promote safe sex then then we’re all in favour of it.
