This woman has invented a head-hammock so you can sleep on the go anywhere

THE POSSIBILITIES FOR THIS ARE ENDLESS.

Sorry, it’s too early for that many Cap Locks, but it’s hard to write this story without getting ALL UPPER CASE EXCITED.

If you have trouble sleeping on planes or trains – or, let’s be honest, the toilet at work – then this invention will be a game-changer.

This is the NodPod, also known as the head hammock.

The handy little gadget recreates how you sleep in bed, but in an upright position and at a 90 degree angle.

It means that you can catch 40 winks on the go just about anywhere, without any of that horrible jerking awake or head jolts that usually happen when you’re trying to sleep while sitting upright.

The head hammock is the brainchild of a woman named Paula Blankenship from Kentucky in the US, who was inspired by years of uncomfortable and sleepless travel for work.

It’s still at the Kickstarter stage but it’s set to launch in 3 weeks, and can be pre-ordered from the site now. It should cost around £20, but it has to be shipped from the US so it might be a little more.

And judging by the level of pledges on the site so far, it’s going to be a big hit.
