Jeremy Clarkson voted ‘UK’s sexiest man’ in poll

Charlie Herbert

Sorry, what?

A poll of 2,000 women has ranked Jeremy Clarkson as the UK’s ‘sexiest man.’

The Diddly Squat Farm owner and Grand Tour host beat off competition from the likes of Idris Elba and Ryan Reynolds to the crown.

IllicitEncounters.com, a dating site for extramarital affairs, asked 2,000 of its female members to score a 50-strong list of this year’s most famous, culturally relevant names from 1-10 – based on what Illicit Encounters calls, their “affair factor” – or their sexiness.

For reasons beyond my comprehension, Clarkson scored 8 out of 10 points – beating Match of the Day host Gary Lineker (7.5) to top spot.

In third was former England rugby player Mike Tindall, 21 places above his fellow Royal family members King Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry.

Meanwhile Ryan Reynolds came in fourth, with the money saving expert Martin Lewis bizarrely rounding out the top five, ahead of Idris Elba.

The top 1o was as follows:

  1. Jeremy Clarkson
  2. Gary Lineker
  3. Mike Tindall
  4. Ryan Reynolds
  5. Martin Lewis
  6. Dermot O’Leary (joint)
  7. Idris Elba (joint)
  8. Volodymyr Zelenksy
  9. Mikel Arteta
  10. Charlie Mullins

Leoni, added: “We knew providing our members with a list of 50 famous names across both genders and asking them to score them on their ‘affair factor’ would throw up some shocks, and it didn’t disappoint.

“With the wax jacket and tweed shirt, clearly, Clarkson’s bad boy farmer vibe is working for the Over 30s. Landing top spot in our table won’t earn him diddly squat, but I’m sure it will give him bragging rights on the farm.”

IllicitEncounters.com also asked 2,000 men to score a 50-strong list of women based on the same criteria to reveal a Top 10 – with GMB host Susanna Reid landing top spot scoring 9 out of 10 points.

Reid beat Amanda Holden to top spot, whilst Tory MP Penny Mordaunt ranked third in the table – with former colleague Priti Patel further down in ninth place.

The Princess of Wales and Meghan Markle both made the Top 10, with Kate scoring just one-point higher than Megs.

The top 10 was as follows:

  1. Susanna Reid
  2. Amanda Holden
  3. Penny Mordaunt
  4. Nigella Lawson
  5. Karen Brady
  6. Carrie Johnson
  7. Princess of Wales
  8. Meghan Markle
  9. Priti Patel
  10. Gabby Logan

Leoni said: “It must be said, for the women, there were less surprises [than with the men] – with TV darling Susanna Reid the obvious choice for men.

“It was a good result for the politicos, with Mordaunt and Patel both sneaking in the Top Ten – and there was little between the Princess and Duchess – so finally, that’s something for them to agree on.”
