I’ve got 22 kids – here’s how I do Christmas

The mother of Britain’s biggest family has shared her secrets.

Sue Radford, a mother to 22 children from Morecambe, has shared a glimpse into how Christmas goes down in her home.

The 48-year-old regularly posts updates from her life to social media, with over 530k followers amassed on Instagram.

Last year, she showcased the December 1st breakfast buffet she puts on annually for all of her offspring.

The image featured a dining table covered with stacks of pancakes and hundreds of pounds worth of advent calendars, presents and customised ‘Elf on the Shelf’ cake pops.

In another festive snap the whole family appeared to be dressed in Christmas jumpers around the dinner table.

Another image showed the intricately decorated tree with dozens of bobbles and multicoloured lights.

Alongside it, on the mantlepiece, were 22 stockings, one for each member of the famous family.

Sue and her husband Noel welcomed their first child together in 1989. The most recent addition to their family was daughter Heidie, who was born in April 2020.

Between them, the couple are parents to Chris, 33, Sophie, 29, Chloe, 27, Jack, 25, Daniel, 24, Luke, 22, Millie, 22, Katie, 20, James, 19, Ellie, 17, Aimee, 16, Josh, 15, Max, 14, Tillie, 12, Oscar, 11, Casper, ten, Hallie, seven, Phoebe, six, Archie, five, Bonnie, four and Heidie, two.

The parents tragically lost their 17th child Alfie in July 2014.

Sue and her family became known UK-wide in 2021 when the Channel 5 series 22 Kids & Counting first aired.

Five seasons later, and with several trials and tribulations overcome, the Radford family are still going strong and gearing up for another Christmas.

This year, they released a book titled The Radfords: Making Life Count. The memoir became a Sunday Times bestseller and has been described by Sue as a “great Christmas gift”.
