Ivanka Trump’s birthday tweet to her baby son has one major problem

Wait, that's not how birthdays work.

The words “Trump” and “Twitter” pretty much go hand-in-hand at this point.

The President-elect Donald Trump is known for using his Twitter to project his message to the American people, though he tweets so often that it sometimes comes back to bite him.

That’s exactly what has happened this afternoon to his daughter Ivanka, who sent a particularly confusing message to her own infant son Theodore.

She captioned a picture of the baby with “I cannot believe that Theodore is 8 months old today! Happy birthday little teddy bear!”

Needless to say, the blunder provoked a bit of a response from the masses on Twitter.

Just in case it’s not clear to you yet just where the mistake is — birthdays are usually celebrated after 12 months rather than eight months, you know, in order to reflect the day on which the child was birthed.

Still, it’s not as if Ivanka Trump is an unelected figure given the luxury of sitting in on key government meetings with potential ramifications for one of the world’s most powerful countries.

It would be very awkward if that kind of responsibility went to someone who doesn’t know how birthdays work.

Oh.
